We'll still have to manually type in
< ref > textexttextexttextexttextexttextexttextext < /ref >
for each footnote.

But having the Footnote 'References' display code built into a template is one less thing to mess up.

When I mess up the footnotes it usually is because < ref > or < /ref > is missing or I've made a typo like <ref?
