loading problems

The wiki has been loading slow quite often for me, but now it won't load at all, and yesterday evening the same thing happened. Do others have the same problem or is this just me? :(

ETA: Of course now just as I posted it loads again, but I'd be still interested if there is some underlying problems for this repeated non-responsiveness I experience.

Yes, it was slow for me last evening, too.

Well, at least it's not a message from the universe handcrafted for me to wast less time fussing around with the wiki... It's really annoying though, especially since for me it seems to work fine one moment and then it's ages of waiting time, then it works again, then it doesn't at all.

The notifications work okay for me, unless I forget to click while logged in, because it doesn't send any further if you didn't go to the changed site. Have you tried to reset it on the watchlist page and mark all pages as visited?

Welcome! Normally it is not as annoyingly slow or unresponsive.

According to systems there was a problem, but they restarted the server and it should be okay. Are you still having a problem. If so, I'll open a help ticket.

I am always logged and, even when I do the reset I haven't been getting all notifications - only a few here and there. somewhat random.

It stopped loading for me again. I've tried for more than half an hour now to see whether it's just some glitch, but it seems down for good. I was in the middle of editing something too.

ETA:and now it works again. It's something of an up-down pattern, I guess?

Gmail was marking all my fanlore notifications as spam for a while. I *think* I've been receiving all the notifications lately, though.

I couldn't reply from work. I think there might be something with the load on the servers. If it's a problem again, just let me know. I can open a ticket.

Also, on another note, would you like to help test the new Spinx search engine for the wiki? I've got it on the test server. It needs to be really tested before we can put it out.

What does one need to do for search engine testing? *is clueless*

You do searches using the search engine and make sure that the results look right.
