We've discussed this on the committee, and we agree about getting rid of it. Especially for Fandom by Source Text. Our next meeting is tomorrow night, so we'll probably post something here and to the wiki to let everyone know what the final changes will look like.
It should only be applied to fandom pages that do not have a fandom category of their own.
Per the policy, all fandoms will eventually have their own category. We're going to focus on the bigger fandoms first.
