In current practice though the mash-up template is not used in any case where it's one fandom with multiple media, but the examples are several sources united by an interest, e.g. 6Degrees fandoms, non-RPF actor fandoms (i.e. fans writing for all fictional characters played by an actor or make pairings of actor combos), or the Age of Sail fandom page for several sources related to that time period and topic. IMO your proposal for template use rather dilutes that "mash up" category. Star Wars is still just Star Wars not a "mash up" even if a fan likes one bit of Jedi canon from the extended universe novels, another from the Clone Wars cartoon, and a third from some Star Wars Old Republic game.
