I, aethel, am not in favor of it. It doesn't make sense to me to have a category under Fandoms by Source Community that is for fandoms that by definition should not be under Fandoms by Source Community.
However, if lots of editors who will actually be editing in that area are in favor of it, that's a different story.
ETA: Oh, wait, I just thought of a way to do this: call it something like "Standalone Fandoms" and put it under Fandoms by Source Text instead. What counts as "standalone" could be hotly contested, though. Xena? Twilight? Sherlock Holmes?
