Introductory chat to editing Fanlore

Do you edit Fanlore or would you like to do so? Now is the time to learn how. The OTW's Wiki-committee will host an introductory chat to editing Fanlore. The chat is aimed at both current and new editors.

The chat will be held on Saturday May 28 at 4 a.m. UTC (what time is it in my timezone?) in OTW's public chatroom on Campfire. The chatroom can be accessed at https://fanarchive.campfirenow.com/e79cc

Fanlore, a fandom wiki, is devoted to preserving the history of transformative fanworks and the fandoms from which they have arisen.

6 a.m. on a Saturday morning was way too early for me but I hope everyone had fun. I just wanted to point out that the chatroom for the introductory chat to editing Fanlore linked here doesn't seem to be the Fanlore chatroom. Is this a mistake? Was this intentional? I find it confusing.

It was intentional, I think - it's the OTW "Public Discussion" chatroom, instead, which was used for a meeting for all volunteers just afterwards, so it was easier to keep them in the same room.

Yeah, the chat was held in the org-wide meeting room an hour before the meeting.

Is it possible to post a public chat transcript somewhere so people who couldn't attend can look through it?

I was about to comment I'd love something because I'm a complete newbie to fanlore, so I'm looking forward to what you post! It would help a lot to have a more concrete guide.

ooops, missed these chats. I have a fanlore project I'd like to get started. I need to get in touch with some fen I shared a message board with, a gew years ago, and begin documenting/archiving what we can of the fanwork/meta we created.
