Sometimes it's easy to forget just how far we've come and how much progress we've made at Fanlore.

When I first started adding things to/editing Fanlore in July 2009, we didn't even have categories. None. Not for anything.

And, there was ONE template for ALL fanworks.

It looked like this:

All volunteers have worked long and hard on at making Fanlore better and better: gardeners, committee members, and editors, editors, editors!

Anyone who's added an entry, tweaked an entry, contributed a few sentences or a whole lot more, those who've emailed with suggestions, scolded Fanlore, praised Fanlore, it's all been absorbed and used to improve our fan wiki.

We've come a long way!

Somehow very satisfying to see the vids from your favorite fandoms grow into their own SubCategory. When we started, I think only Merlin and SGA vids had their own SubCategory

Oh, we had categories, just not for fandoms. It wasn't deemed necessary because people thought everything about a fandom would go on a single page. (ahahahahaaa!)

It is so exciting to see how Fanlore expanded over the years. It makes me really look forward to where the wiki can go in the future.

It also makes me want to go and edit and add stuff because wow, being a part of this <33333
