The Wiki Committee
Firstly, we would like to apologize for missing the June newsletter; we hope that this longer-than-average one will help to make up for it!

Though we currently have a full committee of 10 staffers, several of us have been unavailable or on break, including one of the committee's co-chairs, Tiyire, who's on official hiatus until the end of August. This means that our usual cases and outside requests have been taking a little longer than usual. If you're awaiting a reply from the Wiki Committee, we apologize for the delay and promise we're working on it!

June Bloom
Our first ever June Bloom challenge was a blast—we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! We counted over 300 new pages created during the month, and they all look fantastic. Thank you again to everyone who participated!

Want to relive the excitement? Here were our weekly June Bloom challenge posts:

We would love to hear your thoughts on our challenges and challenge formats, especially as we prepare for our next month-long challenge, Stub September! Do the challenges inspire you to contribute to Fanlore? What do you like, and what could be done better? Let us know in the comments below, via our contact form, or at our August editing chat (see below)!

Fanlore downtime
We had some brief scheduled downtime in early July, but you may have noticed some additional, unexpected downtime on both Fanlore and AO3 this Wednesday. Though the issue should be resolved for now, the OTW's Systems team is still investigating the details. You can follow [twitter.com profile] AO3_Status on Twitter for more information.

What's to come?
In August, the Wiki committee has a lot to work on behind the scenes, including our next month-long challenge, Stub September. This challenge will focus on (as the name implies) expanding Fanlore articles that are currently stubs.

We were thrilled to see that Fanlore passed two different milestones in the last couple months, reaching 600,000 total edits in June and 35,000 articles in July! All thanks to wonderful, amazing editors like you.

To celebrate, we would like to invite you to a Fanlore editing party on Saturday, August 8th at 7:00PM UTC (What time is that where I am?) in the Fanlore chatroom on Campfire. We hope to see you there!

As of July 31, 2015, Fanlore has 35,296 articles which have undergone 607,710 edits. We hope to see you on the Recent Changes page!
