So a few of us have been removing incorrect categories and switching templates on the zine pages for a couple months now. I'm about half-way through the Anthology Zines, and I've noticed some other dedicated souls fixing categories on lots of pages, so this thing might get done before 2012!

But we're having a little discussion about the Anthology Zines category name, which may or may not need to be changed. Mostly I'm reposting this in dreamwidth because I made some graphics over Christmas to illustrate the zine category structure. Check out the current state of affairs:

The category with the lavendar background is included in the generic Zine template and contains zines with unknown or uncategorizable content. The category with the pink background is the category included in the ZineAnthology template, which has been assigned to "anthology zines with fic in them." Here are two alternative naming schemes that wouldn't require too much editing:

Option 1: simple rename

Option 2: rename resulting in move of "Novel Zines"

If the unknown/miscellaneous zines with the generic Zine template tend to be anthology zines, this next possibility might make the most sense in the long run:

Option 3. Originally I thought this last one would involve redoing a lot of the editing on the Anthology Zines, but maybe not. The question is: does this organization make sense to people who know zines? or who want to browse Fanlore for zines? (And then we'd have to decide: do zines with both fiction and non-fiction go in the main anthology category or in both the fiction and nonfiction subcategories??)
