request to remove mediawiki stuff from search results page

I notice that all the mediawiki options are pushing down actual search results. The vast majority of searches are not interested in these options, and are actually put off by them. Could we move them to an Advanced Search page and get the results up and available?

Did I hit the "Advanced" link sometime and the wiki never forgot?

ETA: I try clicking the "Advanced" link and nothing changes

You should be able to change this in your user preferences. Go to Special:Preferences, click on the "Search" tab, and uncheck everything but "Main". That will give you default search results like aethel's screenshot (Fanlore articles only, no user pages/templates/help pages/etc.).
