Thank you everyone for your participation this year! Your next challenge will be... to think up some awesome challenges!
Do you have some fun ideas for expanding fanlore content? Are there some topics, characters, ships, creators, communities, or entire fandoms that you wish there was more content on? This is your chance to submit challenges! Please feel free to browse the challenge tag to see what kinds of challenges we've done in the past, but don't be afraid to submit something a little different, too! We'll be collecting challenge ideas for future use, and hope to use one of our new submissions for the very next one!
The submission period will last one week, and in the meantime the Share the Love challenge is still open for submissions =D

5 Things Challenge: Pick a stub page of a fandom, pairing, trope, or person (or anything else) at Fanlore; add 5 details to it. Can be a bullet-point list or whole paragraphs.
Pre-Internet Fandom Challenge: Pick an aspect of fandom that predates the internet and start or expand a page. If all your fandom activities are internet-related, pick something you've heard about and add a subtopic category or two to the page, with "TBA" as the text, so later people who do know that aspect of fandom are reminded of that particular subtopic.
A Little Bit Every Day Challenge: For a week (or two weeks), edit *something* at Fanlore every day, even if it's just fixing a misplaced comma or adding some bold or italics. (This would be fairly silly, except it's hiding a hope that editing a thing or two will encourage people to add a bit more, since they've already got the window open.)
Total Braindump Challenge: Pick a topic that doesn't yet have a page, and create one, and throw into it *everything you can think of* about the topic. Random memories, fic rec links, dramas it was connected to, BNFs, zines, convention years & locations, anything. Tag the page "stub" so it's obvious that, despite the length, it's not finished. Possibly also add the words "total braindump" somewhere near the beginning, so later people know they're actively encouraged to clean up the page, add details, eliminate extraneous info (which should mean "move to elsewhere on archive," because there's no such thing as TMI), and move things around.
Fandom Clichés Challenge: "Tropes" for topics that aren't fanfic. In other-than-fic realms of fandom, we have plenty of clichés and stereotypes, and each of them deserves a page. (The overweight slob comics dude. The meet-in-a-tavern start to the dungeon. Unpronounceable the Alien and his robot dog Spot. Room parties busted for serving alcohol to minors. Peace-bonding fake weapons. "Ground score" at renfaire or conventions. Capo-sharing.) Pick something you've seen or heard of so many times you'd never think it needs writing up, except when you realize that people who've never heard of that area of fandom won't know what it is, and make or expand the page for it.
